NOC Comes Out of The Gorge

I just got off the phone with Tyler over at the Nantahala Outdoor Center and he filled me in on some plans they have for the comming year. It looks like they will be opening a new retail location in Gatlinburg (and no, there are currently no plans to have an airbrush t-shirt stand). Here’s a link to the their site with the news. 

The new store is part of a broader push which will includ a re-vamped website and a broader marketing outreach effort. The new location is scheduled to open in September and will also be LEED certified – the first of it’s kind in Eastern Tennesee.

Word on the street is that NOC will be honoring Gatlinburg’s status as the city with the second most marriage chapels in the U.S. with a chapel of their own for the grand opening – Dress Code will be spray skirts and PFDs only…
