Tea

12 11 2009

Tea – it is quite possibly the world’s oldest prepared beverage and I have just recently started to truly appreciate it. I am one of those annoying morning people (at least according to my wife, who is not one) and for almost two decades I woke up with the sun and downed at least two cups of coffee. But, now I have gone almost three months without and I really don’t miss it.

Don’t get me wrong, I have not forsaken caffeine, merely switched delivery vehicles. Tea is just more… satisfying for me right now.

I buy my tea on-line because the selection of loose leaf tea is a thousand times better and loose leaf tea just tastes better. Even the local “tea shops” in the Charlotte area only stock a few different choices, and most won’t sell in bulk.

I particularly like some of the blends from The Tea Spot – plus they have great online customer service and ship quickly. In fact – it was The Boulder Blend that made me seriously think about giving up coffee for the first time. It is simply an amazing tea – dark, lots of caffeine, and just a hint of chocolate.

Okay, I am now beginning to sound like a commercial, but if coffee is just not doing it for you anymore,  you should try it.
